Sustainability guides our actions

Plastic is present in our everyday life. We find it in machines, in the packaging of medical products and food products, in electronic devices and so on. However, the importance of the correct use and above all of the correct disposal of this product should be emphasized. As a company, but as human beings, it is our duty to spread awareness about the health of our planet and how to preserve it.

What are we doing?

Since its inception, Ravizza Packaging has always tried to promote products with low environmental impact and which reduce the loss of plastic into the environment.

Since 1983 we have been retailers of packaging products and we are the official distributors for Italy of Politainer®, the fully recyclable and reusable packaging for liquids.

With the birth of the SIMPLICITA® brand we have positioned ourselves on the market as a manufacturing company of packaging machines, having among the objectives the goal of creating a machine that reduces the use of excess plastic. In fact, SIMPLICITA® gives the possibility to create a tailor-made bag for each type of product in order to avoid waste. We also continue to improve our machine to reduce energy usage and increase products’ life.

Subsequently, new materials obtained from sustainable sources were studied and tested to replace the tubulars currently used. These include compostable films, bio-based films, and recycled films, in order to offer a wide range of solutions for different products and reduce impact to our planet.

Mainly the plastic we create during the production phase is disposed of specifically so that it is recycled and reused. The specific procedures for the disposal of metals and waste produced during processing are followed with the same care.

In addition, baskets have been arranged in the offices and on the premises of the company to make a clear and easy recycling, aimed at the correct division of waste and the education of staff regarding the environment.

What can we do?

The main trust of our company is to understand and meet the needs of our customers, and at the same time solving their packaging problems all the while reducing the plastic impact on the planet. By reducing excess plastic, promoting the use of “green” films and making our customers aware of the importance of preserving our planet, together, we can make a difference.

Attention must be paid to the amount of material used, information on packaging disposal, the right way to dispose of waste, and the choice of responsible materials.

We also provide packaging with symbols and messages that guide their correct disposal. We ask our customers to pay attention to these and, in turn, to remind their customers to do the same, so as to create a strong chain that allows for the protection of our planet.
